Terms of service

Version 1, effective 2 September 2026. Plain language on purpose: what you get, what you pay, what we do with data, and what we ask of you.

1. What AuditFellow is

AuditFellow is a subscription service that adds an internal audit methodology to the AI assistant your organization already uses. It consists of a browser extension, a command line tool, a website with an account area, and the methodology content those tools carry. AuditFellow is provided by the operator of auditfellow.app ("we"). You are the person or organization that creates an account ("you").

2. Accounts, organizations and keys

  1. An account is personal. The first person to sign up for an organization becomes its admin and is responsible for who else is added and with which role.
  2. A key identifies one seat. It binds to the first device that activates it and refuses others. Keys are not to be shared; a seat is one person on one device at a time. An admin can move a key to a new device or revoke it at any time.
  3. You are responsible for keeping keys and passwords confidential and for everything done with your keys.

3. Fees and billing

  1. Prices are the ones shown on the pricing page when you create a key: a monthly price per key, with a discounted price per key for organizations from three keys. Prices can change with thirty days' notice; changes never apply to a month already started.
  2. Keys are charged monthly to the card on file, in advance for the coming period. A key created during a period is charged now for the days left in it and in full from the next renewal. A revoked key is not renewed; the period already paid runs to its end.
  3. The first seven days after an organization is created are free. No card is required to start. When they end, keys stop working until a payment method is added; nothing the harness learned is lost.
  4. Payments, invoices and applicable taxes are handled by our payment provider, which acts as the merchant of record and issues the invoice in your organization's name.
  5. If a payment fails and is not resolved within fourteen days, keys are suspended until it is. Nothing you have taught the harness is deleted by a suspension.

4. Your data

  1. Audit content (the requests you write, the evidence you attach, the answers you get) travels between your device and the AI platform your organization uses. It does not pass through AuditFellow's servers. What that platform does with it is governed by your agreement with that platform, not by these terms.
  2. What we store: your account details, your organization and its members and roles, your keys (hashed, and encrypted so you can see them again), one daily check per key (time, device name, result), usage of the website (pages, visits, country), and messages you send us.
  3. What the harness learns from your corrections is stored where your organization chose: on each device only, in AuditFellow's encrypted storage, at an endpoint your company runs, or in a Google Drive folder you share with us. You can change that choice and export or delete the content at any time.
  4. We do not sell data and we do not use your content to train models.

5. The methodology

  1. The methodology content delivered through AuditFellow (skills, knowledge, rules, checks) is licensed to you for use by your organization's keys while the subscription is active. It is not sold, and it may not be copied, extracted, redistributed or used to build a competing product.
  2. Content your organization adds through corrections belongs to your organization.
  3. Each delivery of the methodology carries a mark tied to the key that received it.

6. Acceptable use

Use AuditFellow for internal audit and related professional work, within the law and within your organization's policies. Do not attempt to break the key checks, extract the methodology in bulk, or use the service to harm others.

7. Availability and support

We aim for the service to be available at all times but do not guarantee it. A device keeps working for seven days on its last good key check if our servers cannot be reached. Support is by email from the address on the account, on business days.

8. Professional responsibility

AuditFellow assists auditors; it does not replace their judgement. Every deliverable it produces is a draft for a qualified person to review. Findings, risks, ratings and conclusions are yours once you issue them, and we are not responsible for decisions taken on them.

9. Ending the service

  1. You can stop at any time by revoking keys or closing the organization from the account area; nothing is charged from the next renewal.
  2. We can suspend or end an account that breaks these terms, with notice where the situation allows it.
  3. When an organization is closed, its stored methodology is available for export for thirty days and is then deleted.

10. Liability

To the extent the law allows, our total liability under these terms is limited to the fees you paid in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for the output of the AI platform you use.

11. Changes and contact

We may update these terms; the version and date at the top change when we do, and material changes are announced in the account area thirty days before they apply. Questions go through the contact form.
